The polarization of light and the basis of crystal optics are important knowledge points in physical optics. This experiment takes the transverse wave property of light as the main research object to study the propagation characteristics of light in crystal and the effect of polarization elements on light. The content of the experiment is comprehensive, and the knowledge structure is from shallow to deep, which mainly includes the generation and test of polarized light, the mutual conversion of different polarized light, Jones matrix and the interference of different polarized light and its application. Through the construction and testing of experimental phenomena, the obscure and abstract principles of the original teaching are intuitively displayed. At the same time, the knowledge points of polarization and industry applications are deepened and improved, filling the gaps in the original experimental teaching, and becoming an excellent experimental platform for interpreting the knowledge points of the teaching syllabuses of physics and optoelectronics related professional courses.
